During an interview with IndieWire, Actor and Musician Jermaine Clement was asked about a continuation of his series in the form of a movie, with long time collaborator Bret McKenzie, Flight of the Conchords, and instead of dodging the question, he replied with, “We have actually started writing one,”.

Fans of the show have been asking for a movie since the end of the HBO series, and although it is going to be a long way off. Clement stated that the film is still in its early stages, “We’re not down to the stage where we’re going, ‘The film is going to be like this,’ it could be this, this, this, this, this.”.

Flight of the Conchords gained a huge cult status, despite only running for 2 seasons on HBO. It followed the comedic everyday lives of Jermaine and Bret, as they tried to make it big in New York, whilst dealing with money issues, stalkers, and racist Fruit and Veg salesmen.

Jermaine can be seen in the recent film People Places Things, which was released on the 14th of August, and will feature in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming adaptation of Roald Dahl’s “The BFG” later next year.
