Helmed by Chronicle director Josh Trank, the film seems to be loosely based on the Ultimate versions of Marvel’s Super family. Featuring a much younger cast than the previous films, this time it’s starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan and Jamie Bell in the lead roles, with Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev, this film’s iteration of Doctor Doom.
While not showing full depictions of the new squad, the last shot shows us our best look at the new fully-CGI Thing, played by Jamie Bell, and some far away shots of Michael B Jordan’s turn as Jonny Storm AKA the Human Torch.
Along with the trailer, a poster and official synopsis have also been released:
“Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centres on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.”
The Fantastic Four hits our screens August 7th 2015 in 2D and 3D
